We develop the UK's most efficient engine technology, reducing fuel consumption, operating costs and emissions across heavy-duty power.
By doubling efficiency to 70%, Carnot can halve fuel consumption and reduce fuel costs by up to 50%. In heavy-duty applications where fuel can account for up to 90% of lifetime operating costs, this has the potential to significantly reduce total cost of ownership.
Greater efficiency also means lower emissions. Even when operating on conventional fuels, Carnot's techology can reduce fuel consumption and associated emissions by up to 50%. Multi-fuel capability then provides a pathway towards further decarbonisation, enabling the same engine technology to transition to hydrogen and other net-zero fuels as they become commercially viable.
